Milan, 7th September 2026 – Luigi Marciano, Founder and Group CEO of Objectway, has been named CEO of the Year in the Wealth Technology Industry at the European CEO Awards 2026, recognising his long-standing contribution to the evolution of wealth technology and his leadership in building Objectway into a pan-European WealthTech partner for the financial services industry.
The European CEO Awards acknowledges business leaders who demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation and meaningful contribution within their respective sectors. The awards are based on an independent editorial assessment of excellence in the field, considering the individuals whose vision and enterprise are actively contributing to the evolution of the European business landscape.
Over more than three decades, Marciano has guided Objectway through some of the wealth management industry’s most significant periods of change – from the early digitalisation of financial services to today’s transformation driven by data, automation and artificial intelligence. His conviction that technology would become a strategic driver of transformation has been central to the development of a modular, end-to-end technology platform designed to evolve with the industry and its clients, supporting banks, wealth managers and asset managers across the full value chain.
According to the European CEO Awards Team, this combination of entrepreneurial vision, technological foresight and the willingness to challenge established thinking has shaped Marciano’s leadership and the growth of the company he founded. His ability to look beyond immediate shifts and make long-term choices – including sustained investment in technology and innovation and Objectway’s expansion across Europe and North America – has helped steer the company’s path and strengthen its position within the wealth technology sector, while reinforcing its role as a long-term partner to financial institutions navigating an ever-evolving market.
Looking back, the journey that is now Objectway may appear linear but trul yit never was. It has been a succession of moments that demanded reinvention – from periods of rapid growth and regulatory change to successive waves of technological innovation. Vision may look obvious in hindsight; Living it is different. It is a continuous process of listening, learning and making course corrections, each one testing whether the north star still held. For me, that purpose has always been clear: to become a strategic partner to our clients and a point of reference across the wealth management value chain.
I am proud and excited to receive this recognition, but above all, I see it as a tribute to the people who have made this journey possible. Objectway’s evolution has been shaped by the people who embraced change and brought their talent, curiosity and commitment to every stage of our growth, by clients who trusted us across their own journey and transformation, and by partners who believed in what we were building together.
The European CEO Awards assessment also highlighted Marciano’s approach to responsible innovation, particularly his perspective on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. His view that technology should amplify human expertise while preserving trust, governance and transparency reflects the importance of balancing innovation with the principles underpinning financial services.
Coming at a time of significant transformation across wealth management, where financial institutions face increasing pressure to combine operational efficiency, personalised client experiences and technological agility, Objectway’s recognition highlights its ongoing commitment to enabling firms navigate complexity and evolve their technology capabilities while remaining focused on the needs of their clients and their businesses.
