Data & AI Use Case Ideation and Portfolio Selection Workshop

Dr. Stefanie Auge-Dickhut, head of the Competence Center “Future Financial Services”, BEI Business Engineering Institute St. Gallen

Nick Kakuschke, Research Associate & PhD Candidate, BEI Business Engineering Institute St. Gallen

Objectway deepens its collaboration with the Business Engineering Institute (BEI) St. Gallen, within the Competence Center for Future Financial Services, by hosting a strategic workshop that blends cutting-edge research with practical expertise. By combining Objectway’s leadership in financial software with BEI’s academic excellence, the session and partnership unlock a distinctive pathway to transform data into measurable competitive advantage.

In a landscape where over 40% of companies are deploying AI but few have a clear roadmap, this workshop provides the “how-to” for sustainable value creation. We move beyond the hype to focus on three research-backed solution blueprints:

  • Data Strategy Architecture: A holistic approach to align technology, organization, and corporate culture.
  • Data Value Creation Matrix: A systematic tool to identify opportunities, from internal efficiency to new information-based products.
  • Portfolio Selection Framework: A multi-dimensional assessment method to prioritize AI use cases based on feasibility and strategic impact.

Our framework categorizes and ranks Data and AI initiatives, identifying high-potential use cases that are not only technologically feasible but also strategically essential for long-term growth. Bridging the gap between vision and execution.
